Academic and Cultural Association, with the main focus on the fields of Genealogy, Nobility, History, Heraldry, Art History and Heritage. Develops Academic formation in the aforementioned subjects, and promots cultural and civic events on History of Portugal, as well regarding the members of the Most Serene House of Bragança, in particular about King Dom João VI and His descendants.
The INSTITUTE recognizes as heirs of the Portuguese Royal House and of the Most Seren House and Dynasty of Bragança, the Representatives of the Portuguese branches of descendants from King D. João VI, who retain all rights for the Succession of the Crown of Portugal, as prescribed by Ancient Laws of the Kingdom and the Constitutional Charter of the Portuguese Monarchy, and as well all relevant complementary legislation, that were in force until October 5, 1910.
